Toll 49 SEGMENT 7:
The NET RMA, in conjunction with TxDOT, is evaluating the potential for Toll 49 Segment 7, which would form an outer loop around Longview, Texas. Toll 49 Segment 7 would begin at IH 20 at the Smith County Line and proceed to the north around Longview and terminate at US 259 in Longview, a distance of approximately 20.4 miles. Toll 49 Segment 7 is in conceptual planning and is a portion of the corridor defined as East Texas Hourglass (ETHG), which outlines a proposed road extending east of Tyler, around Longview, and over to US 59 above Marshall, Texas. Corridor studies and environmental studies must be completed before the alignment of this proposed roadway can be accurately established. Construction on this segment would likely take approximately four (4) years or more.
